Now that Sr. Carole is leaving for the CEMP on August 16th she can leave with a peaceful heart as the Pastoral/Spiritual Care Department has a fulltime priest-chaplain , Fr. Leonard Kayondo, who will cover the night duty along with his priestly duties at the Hospital. Fr. Leonard has two masters degrees in Pastoral Ministry from BostonCollege during which time he was on full scholarship. He is from Rwanda, Africa. His bishop gave him permission to minister in the U.S.A. He also plans to study Clinical Pastoral Education in order to get his certification in pastoral care.
St. Anne’s Neighborhood Group
Our Mayor, William Flannagan, wanted to clean up both the environment and the crime in Fall River so he came up with the idea done in other cities of having neighborhood groups. We have taken part in some of its activities such clean-up days at KennedyPark and as this picture depicts, a trolly ride around the neighborhood to see the banners hanging at different sections of the neighborhood.
St. Anne’s Hospital has two banners – one at the far end of KennedyPark and one at the top of the hill coming up from theHospital off of Middle St.

Here is a picture of us on a “duck tour”outing to Boston
It was a wonderful land-water tour of the magnificent city of Boston with all its History. One minute we were passing the grounds of the Boston Public Library on a bus and the next minute, we were boating down the Charles River. We were “quacking” all around Boston.
